The Blessing of Peace

As Believer’s, we are not immune from problems, pain or bad circumstances in life. We have not been given a “get out of trouble free” card. Sometimes we get hurt by accident. Other times the hurt is intentional. And oddly enough, often the hurt is self-inflicted.

No, we were “never promised a rose garden” as an old country song says. But the promises Believers find in Scripture are incredibly powerful and encouraging! One of my favorites is –

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

The Strength and energy that comes from the truth of that promise is refreshing at least and life changing at best! If you are a follower of Christ Jesus, be reminded of the power and hope that resides within you. When difficult circumstances come, talk to the Lord and praise Him with the assurance, that in the end, all will be well because He is watching and protecting!
